The London Art Fair has surveyed its exhibitors and it has found that more than half of them think that the economy will get better in 2015, while a similar number forecast an improvement in artmarket fortunes in 2015.
This might not be such a surprise in London, the city where, according to one report one in every 35 people is a dollar millionaire, but surprisingly, it’s a slight decrease on last years super bullish survey results. Nonetheless, the London Art Fair reports a 14% increase in its international exhibitors.
With London’s status as the favourite city of the international superwealthy showing no signs of weakening, for the commercial art world, London seems set to remain an essential stop on the international fair circuit.
