FAD’s Mark Westall, at the STRARTA art fair to be held at Saatchi Gallery venue this week.
The two creative minds will delve in to a Q and A discussion about the “increase in the level of transparency within the art market” and how the internet “ provides people with the confidence to understand their antiques and art works”.
Patrick says “Buying and selling antiques on the internet does raise a few eyebrows when it comes to measuring the expertise and advice from people discovered through the internet, however there are websites presently available, who have professionals providing sound, scholarly judgements on items which exist in the field of their greatest expertise.”
Value My Stuff intends to expose people’s art work and antiques and aims to “develop the process and extend it into all aspects of the market, embracing and expanding the flow of trade, encouraging the unearthing of those lost and forgotten gems and, hopefully, bringing some fun into the market.”
The event will take place in the stunning Saatchi Gallery space where more discussions and art work will be presented including modern paintings, drawings, limited edition prints, photography, sculptures and multi-media works ranging from £2,000 to well over £250,000.
