Frieze London 2013 will have 25 fewer galleries than last year with ‘only’ 150 exhibitors.
According to Amanda Sharp, the numbers of tickets available to the public and for the opening day of the fair are also set to be reduced by up to 20 %, which will accompany a number of subtle design changes focusing on “intimacy” following on from the success of Frieze Masters last year.
Design changes, implemented in collaboration with London architect Carmody Groarke, will employ successful elements from Frieze Masters and Frieze New York, including wooden floors, wider corridors and expanded squares.
