“Packed with blue chip art, our June Evening Sale represents our highest value Evening sale in London since June 2008 and is led by the seminal Basquiat painting from 1981, ‘Irony of Negro Policeman’ at £6-8 million. Majestic in scale and vibrant in colour, we are also delighted to be offering Warhol and Basquiat’s collaboration, ‘Olympics’ from 1984 (£2-3million), at a time when the games in London are at the forefront of the public consciousness. In the Diamond Jubilee year we are also very pleased to offer Warhol’s stunning silkscreen of ‘Princess Diana’ at £900-1.2million.”

Peter Sumner, Head of Contemporary Art Evening Sale, London.

“This June Phillips de Pury & Company is pleased to present a full and comprehensive Contemporary Art Day Sale. The sale offers a vibrant mix of truly outstanding works by both today’s most exciting emerging and highly sought after established artists.”

George O’ Dell, Head of Contemporary Art Day Sale, London.
