Exhibiting artist Conrad Shawcross will be in conversation with Director/Curator of Parasol unit,
Ziba Ardalan. Shawcross’ practice explores theories and methodologies pertaining to geometry and philosophy, physics and metaphysics. His typically large-scale sculptures manifest as modular or mechanical systems with an aesthetic of scientific rationality. Conrad has exhibited internationally with recent exhibitions at Location One, New York; The New Art Gallery, Walsall and Musée d’art Contemporain, Lyon. He lives and works in London and is currently Artist in Residence at the Science Museum, London. £5/£4 concessions

It did mean that the end of Parasol unit at Wharf Road programme in London came rather unnoticed, but a handsome tome* now commemorates more than 50 major exhibitions held over the sixteen years 2004-20.

Parasol unit foundation for contemporary art final exhibition in its current London space will be an exhibition by the French artist Christine Rebet.

Bicameral, a major new public sculpture by the celebrated British sculptor, Conrad Shawcross RA, was unveiled at Chelsea Barracks – marking the first artwork to be installed as part of an ambitious programme of public art commissions created for London’s newest neighbourhood.
