PAMI is an initiative to highlight moving image artwork made by an international selection of artists in a concentrated four-day programme of exhibitions and events across Peckham. As part of PAMI we will be screening Agnes Martin’s 1976 film Gabriel on Saturday 17th September 2011, at 1.30 p.m. This is a rare opportunity to see this work by one of Twentieth Century’s foremost abstract painters.

London Gallery Weekend kicks off this Friday, May 13th, with hundreds of special events and exhibitions taking place across London. To help you navigate we asked Hector Campbell, writer, curator and author of the weekly emerging art newsletter ‘The Shock of the Now’, to select his top choices from London’s selection of small to mid-size galleries.
This group exhibition takes its title from a little-known short book by J.R.R. Tolkien first published in 1964. The book contains two works, an essay called “On Fairy-Stories” and an allegorical short story called “Leaf by Niggle”.
Proudick is the first collaborative exhibition of artists and friends Paloma Proudfoot and Lindsey Mendick. Drawing from the tradition of celebrity-couple portmanteaus, the artists have rebranded themselves as Proudick for the duration of the exhibition.
