“Maureen Paley is staging a solo show. Early works consisted of spray-painted stencils culled from magazines and adverts, fighting for space on the canvas. His recent, more complex paintings suggest he has found a way of combining the dark, heady energy of previous works and a more abstract appeal.”
Olivia Plender’s work is based on historical research that analyses pedagogical methods and revolutionary, social, political, and educational movements mainly of the 19th and 20th centuries.
