American-born pop artist Jeff Koons will discuss two recent publications documenting his works: Celebration records Koons’ October 2008 exhibition at Berlin’s Neue Nationalgalerie and Versailles explores Koons’ September 2008 exhibition at the Palace of Versailles–the first contemporary exhibition ever held in the apartments of the king. Both books display Koons’ penchant for the marriage of childhood nostalgia with more adult themes and sensibilities, aptly depicting the verve of an artist who is not afraid to meld kitsch with “high art.” Glenn O’Brien will interview Jeff Koons.
