Daisy Dickens and Ilke Sahin Explore Material Flux in POND

POND, a duo show by Daisy Dickens and Ilke Sahin, presents a series of paintings, sculptures, and
installations shaped by self-organising material processes. Two practices meet through water, time,
and material change. Composed as pooled matter, small accumulations that continuously shift and
transform, the exhibition bring together new works by each artist alongside collaborative works made
for POND.

“POND is a container, and an image of unruly containment. Telling a story from the natural to the
human-made; from pond to gölet; our work reflects the natural world under human conditions, and
uses the pond analogy as a tool to think through desire, repulsion, and the body”

Daisy Dickens (b.2001, UK) graduated from the University of Reading in 2023 with a joint BA
(Hons) in Art and Psychology. Working across ceramics, textiles, and biomaterials, she explores
themes such as decay, nature, the body, sensation and materiality. @daisyd_studio

Ilke Sahin (b. 1992, Turkey) completed her MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London in 2024. She works across sculpture, installation, material performance, and film. Using materials that behave like unreliable archives, she constructs fragile skin-surfaces that record scratching, oxidation
and erosion over time. @that.ilke
