Almine Rech is expanding with a new gallery space in the Principality of Monaco located in the prestigious Carré d’Or district, at 20, avenue de la Costa.
The gallery will open to the public on May 2nd, 2024, with a first presentation featuring intergenerational artworks from the estates and artists represented by the gallery, such as Günther Förg, Turi Simeti, Tom Wesselmann, Minjung Kim, Dr. Esther Mahlangu, Kenny Scharf, Francesco Vezzoli, Gregor Hildebrandt, Carlos Jacanamijoy, Fabien Adèle, Alexandre Lenoir, Ryan Schneider and Thu-Van Tran.
Another exhibition will follow on May 22nd, 2024, during the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1.
The Principality of Monaco has historically captivated artists and art collectors from the early 20th century to today. In this inviting cultural context, the gallery has been present in Monaco for the past few years, participating in artmonte-carlo art fair and fostering connections with collectors, institutions and more. I’m delighted to now welcome all of them to this new space, which allows the gallery to further develop its long-lasting relationships within the city and its surrounding area.
