Pindar Van Arman is an American artist and roboticist who designs painting robots that explore the differences between human and computational creativity. Since his first system in 2005 he has built multiple artificially creative robots earning multiple accolades including a TEDx Talk, making the Shortlist at Barbican’s DevArt Competition, and First Prize in the Robot Art 2018.
His favourite review of his journey came when Pulitzer Prize-winning art critic Jerry Saltz said that work by the robot “doesn’t look like a computer made it.”

Cecilie Waagner Falkenstrøm is an award-winning artist with a dedication for ARTificial Intelligence, machine learning, discourse theory and human existentialism. Cecilie has exhibited worldwide, e.g. at Victoria and Albert Museum and Ars Electronica, and received The Lumen Prize and the British TECHNE Award.
ARTificial Mind is an art studio founded by artist Cecilie Waagner Falkenstrøm that specialises in creating tech-art. We use machine learning, blockchain, hacking and other cutting-edge technologies to create interactive artworks.
OXIA PALUS– (George & Antony)
George is a UK Space Agency PhD candidate at University College London (UCL) researching trace gases in the Martian atmosphere. George holds a Master’s in Space Science and Engineering from University College London and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Warwick. George’s journey into the world of AI art is circular, from art to space science to machine learning to art. His influences in AI art lie at the nexus of space exploration, dreams, and science fiction. His work through Oxia Palus, reconstructing the past with AI offers an alternative to how AI is creating new value in the art world. He asks,
If we could use AI to accelerate the identification and reconstruction of all art that has been lost from the world, how would this change our understanding of the history of art and society today?
Anthony is a Machine Learning and Behavioural Neuroscience PhD candidate at University College London. Anthony holds a BA in theoretical physics from Trinity College Dublin, an MSc in high performance computing from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in machine learning from University College London and has worked on many industry projects in the machine learning domain.
ARNIE is a contemporary French artist working on the themes of post-human, transparency common in the forms of painting, performance, video, sculpture and photography. With his mobile sculpture “WWW”, he decides to present in its form, the thematic of “transparency”. He stares at and suspends WWW’s showy nature, incantation and internet symbol, from a kaballist reading of the signs. Since the letter W has the numeric value in gematria 6, Arnie reveals the intrinsic nature of the internet.
Theme he will defend again on the line of the post-human in the guise of a robot thinker “Der Golem”.
For his series on canvases “2 MILLION PIXELS,” he exposes the world read, captured and permanently sealed from the active prism of the operating pixel. Arnie, for his work “ROLL OVER”, plays ultra pop performances (roller girl on canvas) to integrate the post-Duchampian idea of the return of art on itself. His last video “FOREVER MOZART” violates the digital universe, bringing it up to a radical contemplation. His next exhibition on the subject of the post-human will show his centrepiece “DER GOLEM EMET”, a fusion of the robotic Golem Rodin thinker.
A philosopher by training, he became an artist-composer-performer on the London punk rock scene under the name “Cristine” and signed on the famous Mute Records label while working on his themes, installation projects and performances. He now lives between London and Paris since 2004 after spending two years in Antwerp where he composes electronic serial music. His latest Work is based on Playboy 70’s cover, Arnie used an algorithm to reinterpret and extract unknown digital epiphanies.
