Nyandoro is known for his large works on paper, which often spill out of their two-dimensional frame and into installations including paper scraps and objects found in the markets of Harare, where he is based. Nyandoro has developed a unique technique, derived from etching, which he has named ‘Kucheka cheka’ after the Shona verb ‘cheka’ (to cut).

Preview: My Immigration Papers by Merve Iseri

https://www.facebook.com/events/1547656205546650/
“My Immigration Papers” is questioning the idea of the whole system rather than UK’s immigration regulations. It is trying to question the formation; the boxes are overwritten by gesture and bold colour in defiance of such formal categorisation.
Performance Managent: Panel Discussion with Marvin Gaye Chetwynd
5:30 PM – 8:00 PM @ ICA, The Mall, London, SW1Y 5AH
https://www.ica.org.uk/whats-on/performance-management-panel-discussion
This event will discuss and interrogate the idea of Performance Management in a twofold sense. On the one hand it will be considered from the perspective of delegation: what happens when the authority of the staged performance gives way to alternative or democratized modes of engagement? What conditions of ‘newness’ enable possibilities to emerge that resonate with our current political moment? On the other hand Performance Management will be used as a trope to raise questions around the social and institutional structures and constraints that influence performance work today.
