Summer is just around the corner, and for those of us living here in Brooklyn, we all know what that means – free movie season! That’s right, starting in July it’s time to start clearing out your Wednesday & Thursday nights and get ready for long summer nights under the stars with free popcorn, your best mates, and a weekly dose of cult cinema. The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy & SummerScreen, two of Brooklyn’s most successful film & music series, has both announced their yearly lineup of weekly flicks for 2014. Judging from this years’ picks, Brooklyn summer is bound to be loaded with enough camp, nostalgia, and punch to keep you laughing and coming back for more every week. Here are this year’s finalists:
