South Place Hotel is pleased to announce the open call for entries to the South Place Hotel Art Prize 2013.
The annual competition is open to MA students and graduates from London art schools with the winner receiving a grand prize of £5,000.

The judging panel for this year’s prize consists of art critic Ashitha Nagesh from Artforum, curator of the Fashion Space Gallery, Leanne Wierzba, Hanne Puttonen from Frogmore Property Fund Managers, Tina Norden from Conran+Partners, Co-Director of D&D London David Loewi and Bruce Robertson, General Manager of South Place Hotel.

Applicants are requested to submit a portfolio of images along with an installation concept for a public facing exhibition window situated within the hotel. The winner receives £500 alongside their prize money towards their proposal being made and installed in the exhibition space, which goes on display for a year.

The closing date for entries is Friday 19 July.

About South Place Hotel
In the summer of 2012, South Place Hotel opened in a prime location between Liverpool Street and Moorgate. The hotel is operated by D&D London and has been designed by Allies + Morrison, with interiors by Conran + Partners Architects and Designers. The hotel aims to bring the trends of east London to the city with an impressive permanent art collection and popular events that take please each month.
