This performance explores radical love as a force for healing and transformation. In collaboration with musician Kamaal Malak, a former member of the hip-hop group Arrested Development, this immersive experience weaves together music, movement, and ritual, inviting reflection on loss, resilience, and regeneration. About
María Magdalena Campos-Pons is a renowned interdisciplinary artist. She explores diaspora, spirituality, and familial memory. She has exhibited at major international institutions, including MoMA and the Whitney Museum of American Art, and participated in international exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale. She founded Intermittent Rivers; Engine for Art, Democracy and Justice; and When We Gather, promoting artistic engagement and cultural dialogue.
Kamaal Malak is a musician, producer, academic, and researcher. Bassist and songwriter for the 2x Grammy-winning group Arrested Development, he has also collaborated with musicians such as Shania Twain. At Vanderbilt University, Malak serves as professor at CAL ‘Cultural Advocacy and Leadership’, where he teaches ‘Hip Hop Culture in America’. @kamaalmalak
Omer Asim & Maya Antoun co-creative directors of OA. Asim a clothier with a background in Architecture and Antoun, a jewellery designer-maker who immigrated into the medium of Fashion. The pair from Sudan have a meticulous focus on substance, craft, form, and construction. They define the brand’s solid silent aesthetic with sensual volume, texture and considered shapes. @omer_asim
