The Summer track of 2025 has arrived- French producer, DJ, and Ed Banger mainstay Myd returns after locking himself in his studio for seven days straight of 24/7 broadcasting while he re-created two lost tracks. He releases a new single, “All That Glitters Is Not Gold”, out now via Ed Banger/Because Music. Featuring powerhouse collaborators Channel Tres and Trueno, the single arrives as a sun-drenched anthem for the age of performative personas and social media masquerades.
Following the pop-anthem “Song For You” (inspired by French Touch and reminiscent of post-dubstep icons like Daphni, Four Tet, Jamie xx) and the afro-funk-infused electro banger “The Wizard”, Myd dives headfirst into reggaeton territory. And he’s not alone — Channel Tres, figurehead of the American house renaissance, and Trueno, Argentinian trap superstar, bring their fire to this summer anthem.
“The track started out as a short interlude,” “But Pedro Winter, always the wise one, told me: ‘Come on, this track is so strong, stop overthinking it — don’t be afraid to keep it simple!’ He was totally right. The song’s pure joy speaks for itself.”
explains Myd.
Trueno added,
“I really value the connection and the importance given to Argentina by other countries like France, especially from producers like Myd, who are well known in their own country. For them to come and want to contribute to Argentine culture and create these kinds of collaborations—despite the physical distance—builds a meaningful bridge between Latin America and Europe, between France and Argentina, which is something I find deeply important.”
“When I wrote this track, Trueno was the first person who came to mind,”
says Myd.
“He delivered his part with such effortless elegance, and that’s exactly what makes his presence on the track so powerful. I’ve also been a fan of Channel Tres for a long time, and his warm, laid-back vibe completely transformed the song. The three of us coming together on this track feels like three different ways of experiencing summer, heat, and celebration — and yet, it all fits naturally.”
While visiting Dubai — a city that epitomizes excess, contrasts, and modern illusions — Myd teamed up with photographer and filmmaker Alice Moitié to capture the essence of this unique escape. The result? A slideshow-style video conceived like a vacation film adds depth to this sun-soaked plunge into bling through the pair’s offbeat lens. Following that, there will be a photo book in the form of a stylized travel diary, blending dry humor with a bittersweet critique of a world that glitters but may not be gold.
“All That Glitters Is Not Gold” screams summer — it’s the perfect song to blast with the windows down, packed into a car chasing the sun. A scorcher of a single we didn’t know we desperately needed.
