‘I am honoured to join Frieze Masters at such a pivotal time. From its inception, the fair has stood out for its innovative narrative — one that invites fresh perspectives on historical art and dialogue with contemporary audiences. Rooted in London, a city with a truly international outlook and a longstanding reputation as a centre for expertise, Frieze Masters continues to be a dynamic meeting point for collectors, curators and galleries. I look forward to building on that founding vision as we shape the fair’s distinctive identity.’

said Emanuela Tarizzo.

Emanuela joins Frieze Masters with a wide network across the art world, built through years of collaboration with dealers, collectors, museums and scholars. With a background as an independent art advisor and former Gallery Director at Tomasso, London, she has cultivated a deeply rooted understanding of galleries and art fairs, as well as a passion for connecting audiences with historical art. Emanuela is widely regarded for her research-driven approach, curatorial insight and commitment to fostering meaningful relationships within the cultural sector.

‘We are delighted to welcome Emanuela as Director of Frieze Masters. Her extensive knowledge of the art market, combined with a rigorous approach to historical art, will further strengthen the fair’s unique position as a bridge between past and present. Under her leadership, Frieze Masters will not only continue to be an essential platform for defining works of art history but also deepen relationships with leading museums and collectors whose insight and ambition shape the field.’

said Kristell Chadé, Executive Director of Fairs, Frieze.

As Director, Emanuela will steer the fair’s vision, overseeing gallery participation and curatorial initiatives,
ensuring Frieze Masters remains an unmissable destination for collectors and institutions engaging with
historical art. She will work closely with Eva Langret, Frieze’s Director, EMEA, and the Frieze Masters team.
