Group exhibition SEASON was presented in the heritage-listed buildings of Woolwich Works, curated by Mudi Zhang and Dongye Xu.

The exhibition was jointly sponsored by Berkeley Homes’ Royal Arsenal Riverside development and the UK property agency Charles William Property Investment Ltd.

This group exhibition, themed “Season,” explores home as an intimate space, reflecting its evolving meaning across life’s stages. “Season” symbolizes both the natural cycle of time and the emotions tied to each phase, with family as a constant anchor.

The artists in this exhibition explore diverse aspects of home, identity, and transformation through various mediums. Beiyi Wang reflects on nature and identity, while Cheng Panhuili delves into memory and time through light and shadow. Li Tao and his son Lizhaoyuan create a collaborative work that bridges emotional bonds and locations, and MR Studio London blends art with eco-conscious practices.

Nicole Poh examines the impact of change on cultural identity, while Simon Peter Green explores love and self-discovery. Xinyue Tao blurs the boundaries of time, and Xuesheng Ma evokes the transient nature of home. Zhenzhen Tian focuses on family bonds, and Ziqi Chen explores the fragility of home through memory and power.

Ziyi Wang examines female narratives within home, and Zoe Wang’s animation reflects on familial trauma and healing.

Together, these artists offer rich, interconnected perspectives on the evolving nature of home, memory, and identity.Bringing together artists of different ages, backgrounds, and mediums, the exhibition mirrors the diversity within a family.

This exhibition uses visual art, spatial installations, sound, and performance to create a poetic yet familiar world that evokes the warmth of home through elements like curtain partitions and sofas, while also reflecting the lingering presence of history. The arrangement of the artworks integrates with the space, enhancing the immersive experience. It explores themes of family, time, and historical transformation, inviting audiences to reflect on the past while contemplating future living.
This place, once a forge for destruction and protection, has now become a warm haven for living and thriving. Here, time gently sighs, and the interplay of war and peace is crystallized into a unique landscape.
