Takashi Murakami is releasing two hundred limited-edition T-shirts on the occasion of his takeover of the Gagosian Shop in London’s Burlington Arcade, available exclusively to purchase in person beginning on opening day. Available for the first time outside of Japan, the T-shirt features artwork inspired by the painting Rakuch?-Rakugai-zu By?bu: Iwasa Matabei RIP (2023–24), which is presented in the artist’s concurrent solo exhibition at the gallery in Grosvenor Hill. Each T-shirt comes with one of eleven different Murakami.Flowers Collectible Lucky Cat trading cards, three of which are extremely rare. The sealed cards are selected randomly and cannot be opened until after the purchase. The T-shirts cost £200 and will be limited to one per customer on a first-come, first-served basis.
