Since 2012, Parley for the Oceans has collaborated with prominent contemporary artists, galleries, and institutions to highlight the beauty and vulnerability of the oceans, working to halt their destruction.
Parley will have a presence within the Collectors Lounge for the first time at Art Basel Miami Beach 2024 taking place from 6th-8th December 2024 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The space will invite visitors to explore the beauty and fragility of our oceans through imagery and art – storytelling that communicates the urgency of the environmental crisis and the reality of the world that we all live in.
Parley will present a limited-edition Pierre Paulin, Chirac Sofa, in collaboration with Paulin Paulin Paulin. The fabric of this collectible piece of design was created using the iconic red polypropylene ropes from the monumental artwork by Christo and Jeanne-Claude titled L’Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped 1961- 2021.
Parley will also present its artist-designed surfboards and limited-edition and unique works by leading contemporary artists who support the cause in the Collectors Lounge.
Throughout the private and public days of the show, Parley’s Art Team will also host guided tours. The tours will highlight key artworks around the theme of sustainability and will invite visitors to discover how art can transcend barriers of language and culture — and why art, and the artist, are the perfect messengers for change. Tours will run for 1 hour, and tickets will cost $40.

Parley will also launch the second round of its artist-designed scarves, available at the Art Basel Shop during Art Basel Miami Beach 2024. This collection features works by artists Janaina Tschäpe (BR), Sam Falls (US), and Thalita Hamaoui (BR). Made in Italy and crafted from 40% silk and 60% upcycled Ocean Plastic®, the scarves measure 130 cm x 130 cm and are available in editions of 100 signed and numbered artist proofs per artist for $450.
All proceeds will support the Parley for the Oceans Global Cleanup Network, which works to protect the oceans and addresses the devastating impacts of plastic pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss
