Connaught Village unveils vibrant new art festival launching October 2024.

Connaught Village has announced the launch of the inaugural art festival, Connaught Village Art Month.  New for 2024, this will be a month-long celebration of arts and culture in the village during October, with a series of bespoke and exciting exhibitions and pop-ups to explore.

Nestled in the heart of London, Connaught Village is renowned for its diverse selection of galleries and art venues. The village is home to the likes of Matt Carey-Williams, Rob and Nick Carter, Dorothy Circus, Lyon & Turnbull, Rosewood Gallery and CasildArt. This October, the village will come alive with an eclectic mix of artistic expressions, showcasing both established and emerging talents. The programme for Connaught Village Art Month includes:

‘Scene VI: Dean Fox’ at Matt Carey-Williams – From 7th October – 15th November, explore Dean Fox’s work at Matt Carey-Williams. Dean Fox’s paintings offer up a gloriously hallucinogenic exploration into not just the metric and matrix of Impressionism but, more importantly, the praxis and lexis of painting itself.

‘Freedom in Multitudes’ at CasildART – Launching in October in collaboration with The 1897 Gallery, Freedom in Multitudes will feature artists whose practices address themes of fluidity and freedom conceptually, or through composition and materialism. The works in the exhibition will speak to the complexities of existing within a Black body whilst spanning myriad identities. The artists celebrate the multitudes we contain and call for more complex, free-flowing depictions of Black bodies and cultures.

‘Nateepol: Love in 3020 – A Thousand Ways to Love Yourself’ at Dorothy Circus – Launching on 24th October, Love in 2030 is a showcase from emerging talent from Thailand, Nateepol. This exhibition is the second chapter following his critically acclaimed and sold-out exhibition held in Bangkok in 2022. Nateepol is a multidisciplinary artist renowned for his colourful and romantic acrylic paintings. This new exhibition explores themes of self-love, identity and the future of human connections.

London Jewellery – Auction Viewing at Lyon and Turnbull – Rare and unique jewels will find their way to Connaught Village this October as part of resident auctioneer’s Lyon & Turnbull’s London Jewels auction. This curated selection of fine jewellery features exceptional antique and contemporary jewels including a natural Fancy Intense Purplish Pink diamond, large old-cut diamonds, Colombian emeralds, large Sri Lankan sapphires and a natural pearl necklace from Boucheron. Exceptional objects such a Fabergé egg and Josephine Baker’s personal desk seal are also on display.

Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art & Design Valuation Day at Lyon and Turnbull – On 2nd October, Lyon and Turnbull are hosting a valuation day by appointment for Contemporary, Modern & Post-War Art Design & Craft and Studio Ceramics. The team will be available for complimentary, no obligation valuations and auction advice.

Rob and Nick Carter are launching a new show from 4th October to the end of November. More details will be announced later in August

Luxury ski operator, Purple Ski, will be home to an exclusive pop-up exhibition for the month of October

Connaught Village Art Month promises to be a captivating celebration of creativity, offering something for everyone. Whether you’re an art aficionado or simply looking to explore, this festival is the perfect opportunity to experience the rich offering of Connaught Village.
