Lindsay Perryman wins the 2024 Palm* Photo Prize.

Lindsay Perryman has won the 2024 Palm* Photo Prize. The biennial competition, organised by London-based publisher Palm* Studios in collaboration with Melkweg Expo, Amsterdam, was free to enter for photographers internationally, working across all disciplines and styles.

Perryman’s entry was awarded first place in the Judge’s Panel Prize and was picked from over 7700 submissions.  Based in New York, Perryman’s practice unravels the intricate interplay of identity and representation and explores the nuances of African American queer experiences. They have won a €1000 Artist Grant, a Palm* Studios goodie bag, and a Palm* Feature, and will be included in Palm* Photo Prize group exhibition at 10 14 Gallery, London.

The Judge’s Panel Prize was decided by a panel of industry experts – comprised of Alastair McKimm, former Editor-in-Chief of i-D, Emma Bowkett, Curator and Director of Photography at the FT Weekend Magazine, photographer Dana Lixenberg, and D. Wiafe, Artists and course leader at the London College of Communication (UAL).
