It can be a warm embrace to float in or a violent place trying to drown you, humanity’s relationship with the sea is a deep and complex one that has also led to many myths including those around mermaids. Discoveries V @ Fiumano Clase
Discoveries is always a treat of an annual exhibition as the gallery directors showcase new artists they’ve come across. This year includes KV Duong’s textured layers of latex across a structure resembling a door frame as his works look at access and heritage, Adrian Ramos and Constanza Pulit transport us to different worlds using different mediums, while Nicole Morris looks at the body through textiles. Until 2 March.

Oren Pinhassi: After Pleasure & Jenkin van Zyl: Dance of the Sleepwalkers @ Edel Assanti
The works of two very different artists are shown across the two spaces with Oren Pinhassi’s totemic sculptures incorporating found objects and sitting between the architectural and the organic. While Jenkin van Zyl takes us back into his dark world with rat-human hybrids and control panels on the walls. Until 9 March.
