I am thrilled to share my first silkscreen print and to collaborate with Avant Arte on this new edition and look forward to participating in a project that takes artwork to a wider audience.

Anish Kapoor,

Anish Kapoor is considered one of the most influential artists of our time, perhaps best known for his architecturally scaled works such as Cloud Gate (2004); Sky Mirror (2006) and Leviathan (2011). Long celebrated for his sculptures, painting has always been an integral part of his work, and recent exhibitions at Modern Art Oxford (2021) and Gallerie dell’Accademia and Palazzo Manfrin (2022) have brought this part of his practice into more prominent focus than ever. Drawing and printmaking are also central languages within his graphic oeuvre and Kapoor has collaborated with highly regarded publishers and master printmakers since the 1980s, including Crown Point Press and Paragon Press, working in a
variety of mediums including etching, spitbite, drypoint and woodcut. Alongside his sculptural work his drawings, prints and paintings are held in some of the most important collections worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art, Prada Foundation, Guggenheim Museums, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tate, British Museum, among many others.

Anish Kapoor is one of the world’s leading contemporary artists and his ability to reach beyond the art world into wider public consciousness aligns incredibly well with our mission to make discovering and collecting art radically more accessible. Out of the Dark is Anish’s first ever screenprint, made in collaboration with our master printer and printmaking studio in London, and it will be available for one week as part of our time-limited edition programme designed to help more people start their art collecting journey. We’re very excited to be able to offer our community the opportunity to own this beautiful work by such an important artist.
