The exhibition celebrates the unique visions and powerful messages of gallery artists, including such works as Awol Erizku’s iconic portrait Teen Venus (2013); an intensely charged, semi-abstract bullfight painting by Miquel Barceló; Yoan Capote’s sublime seascape painting comprised of fish hooks and gold leaf, Requiem (Imponderable) (2022); grandiose theatres and libraries from Candida Höfer; powerful abstract, calligraphic paintings by José Parlá; impactful sports jersey quilts by Hank Willis Thomas; and adroitly humorous works by Gavin Turk including a painted bronze Tip sculpture, among other special pieces.
