CIRCA have launched their first fine #CIRCAECONOMY print, created by Ai Weiwei. The special edition dropped LIVE! on Piccadilly Circus last night, Saturday 30th October 2021 by the renowned artist and social activist, Ai Weiwei during a special presentation on the iconic Piccadilly Lights and is available to purchase now for £5000 on CIRCA.ART

The special edition of 51 hand-typed and signed copperplate etched prints, is titled “£” and has been created by Ai Weiwei to commemorate the first anniversary of CIRCA, the art and culture platform with purpose. The new work explores the value of £100 and what it could buy in the UK when CIRCA launched onto the global stage in 2020. Since announcing the launch of the limited-edition edition on 1st October 2021 via social media, CIRCA has received over 2,000 expressions of interest in purchasing one of the editions.

Proceeds from the sale of “£” will go towards supporting the CIRCA free public art programme in London, Tokyo, Seoul, Milan and New York and fuel its #CIRCAECONOMY initiative – a circular model that creates life-changing opportunities for the art & culture community.

Weiwei’s “£” is available to purchase on CIRCA.ART for £5,000.
