This weekend Picturehouse Cinemas present Matthew Barney’s renowned The Cremaster Cycle. Made over eight years between 1994-2002, Barney’s series of five groundbreaking feature-length films interweave historical, autobiographical and mythological elements, creating a captivating and intensely private universe, in which symbols and images are layered and interconnected. Conceived for viewing on the big screen and unavailable for many years, the screenings present a unique opportunity for viewers in the UK to experience the series.
