In the last few years, PC gaming has taken the world by storm. Using high-performing gaming laptops, players can improve their gaming experience and their skills. With plenty of games to choose from, modern gamers are spoilt for choice. For a few top picks this year, let’s take a look at some of the most popular games.

1. Battlestar Galactica Deadlock

The original Battlestar series kicked off back in 1978, later in 2007 players were graced with an epic reboot. Deadlock is set in the very first Cylon war, players are put in charge of the colonial fleet. Your challenge is to free the colonies from the threat of the Cylon. Players must save the Quorum alliance, and delve into the conspiracies of this world. It’s up to the Rear-Admiral Lucindia Cain, to save mankind’s fate. Here you’ll find some cool new characters, plus all the old favorites. You’ll love experiencing these 3D intense space battles.

2. Alien: Isolation

Alien Isolation is inspired by the original Ridley Scott movie. In this game, you’ll play as Amanda Ripley navigating a terrifying and strange world. You’ll need to have your wits about you, to keep your alien stalker at bay. Throughout the game you’ll explore the space station, staying sharp to defeat your enemies. Amanada has plenty of enemies to escape, from androids to evil humans. Since the alien cannot be beaten, players must rely on stealth to survive. You can monitor the alien’s movements, using motion trackers and flashlights. Amanda can use shotguns and flamethrowers, however, there’s lots of focus on direct combat. You can also craft your own weapons, using objects that you find along the way. For the best gaming experience, it’s well worth getting a pre built gaming PC. There are plenty of great options to choose from depending on your budget and needs.

3 . Elite: Dangerous

Elite: Dangerous is a game from Frontier Developments. It’s a flight simulation game that takes place in space. In this game you’ll play as the commander, you get a ship, a fuel tank, and plenty of cool equipment. Next, you’re let loose to explore the cosmos! In the new Odyssey expansion, players can expect some exciting new changes. According to game director Piers Jackson, ‘The planets are getting a big new refresh. With the new settlements, we’re also having to add a whole pile of new gameplay areas across the universe.’

4. Bejeweled 3

Bejeweled 3 is a puzzle game where players can match tiles, swap gems, dig for gold, or protect butterflies. The idea is to trade gems and make chains, using and matching colors. When you match three gems of the same, your chain disappears, and more fall from the sky. If your falling gems make special patterns, this sets off a ‘gem cascade’. New features of this third version include an achievement tracker (badge system). It’s a simple, fun-filled game that has delighted many players for years!

Whether your preference is gaming apps or PC games, there are plenty of games to try out this year.
