The Mystic Man Beard Oil Story.

Coming from a television and film background. Justin Mashouf has lived in LA for 11 years working as a freelance producer and editor for TV.

In 2014 working mostly in corporate media and he felt the urge to start a company that had a component of social good and at the same time infused ancient wisdom with modern products.

The Challenge

It has been necessary to keep tight-ship as far as operations are concerned but one of Justin’s greatest struggles has been the formulation of our products.

Not only is Mystic man committed to creating an effective beard and hair products but also wanted to ensure they are made with organic ingredients coming from sustainable sources, all the while keeping the price of the organic beard oil reasonable.

The research and development in the formulation of our products takes an average of a year.  Traveling to various countries to research these ingredients, namely India, Pakistan, Iran, and Tunisia. It’s all been worth it though, we are very proud of our organic beard oil products and they are truly remarkable

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Mystic Man – what should we know?

We specialize in sustainable and organic beard and hair products. Mystic Man has been unique in our usage of sedr in our products, which is a traditional Mediterranean ingredient that has been used for thousands of years to encourage hair growth. Sedr has also a spiritual significance to Abrahamic religions, as the plant is mentioned in the Bible and the Quran.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?

I think our products really speak for themselves. There is a lot of junk in the personal care category and I think a lot of men are realizing that not all products are created equal. They don’t want the products they use on their hair and face to be manufactured with petrochemicals and they want something that was made with a bit more care and consideration for the environment. Mystic Man takes all of that very seriously and our customers know that.
