Help! I’ve Never Used a Vibrator

If you have never used a vibrator before, don’t worry, everyone starts out as vibrator virgin. If you’ve never used one or have been struggling to figure it out, a little education is the best way to win the night and feel great. Once you know the basics, you will be able to apply this simple technique to all your little bits and become a superior sex toy talent. This is knowledge can be applied to yourself or to a partner. You will be able to guide a partner on you, and you will be able to easily take directions by someone else when you pleasure them. Here are the basics when you start to explore the amazing world of toy vibrators.

Know Your Erogenous Zones

The first step is to know your body. Without this knowledge you might as well stick the vibrator in your ear. That is about as likely as anything else to get you off if you really don’t know what is going on. So, again, the first step is to figure out what “moves” you. Here are the top spots to hit with your new friends.

Breasts

Your nipples are a great place to start. They can help initially arouse you and are a great spot to take a break if your downstairs is getting a little overly sensitive. However, it is important to note that not all women are able to get aroused via nipple stimulation. Don’t worry if you can’t. Any of the vibrators can be used as a nipple stimulation device.

Inner Thigh

Similarly, as above, the inner thigh is a great place to start. Your skin here is thin and can provide excellent arousal. Most women can get aroused via inner thigh motion, but make sure the vibrations are set low. You don’t need anything high to get it going here. Again, any type of vibrator can be used.

Vaginal Lips

Your vaginal lips are thin and flappy. It’s a good thing. Why? It means your nerves are bunched up at the ends which allows easy access to them and easy get the blood flowing. Again, use a low vibration mode and move any of the vibrators around the lips.

Clitoris

Starting at the lips is a great spot to get the blood flowing but you will need to move on. The next step is to hit the clit. For most women, this is a line, and not just a spot. The erogenous line does have a ball, the classical clit, but the line extents from the vagina to the top of the pelvic zone. Make sure you massage the entire line and not just the ball. There are highly specific vibrators that work just this spot. However, most of the vibrators can work, just some are better. A clit vibrator is always a necessary tool for any and all women.

Vagina

A vaginal vibrator is the most common vibrator. It can come in the form of a long and pointed tube or a shot “bullet” shaped form. Either way, it is directly inserted into the vagina for vaginal stimulation. The small bullet shapes are used to fully fall inside. The longer ones can be used as a pinpointed massager or a dildo that is pulled in and out. Again, this is a vibrator that every woman should own.

Butt

The butt is more complex. It is often not the first spot for vibrator use. However, once you are ready to take the plunge it is an excellent spot for added stimulation and pleasure. You need to know that you will like it. This can be achieved by first trying with your finger. If that goes well, get a smaller sized vibrating butt plug. If you don’t like the vibrations, it can just be used as a non-vibrating butt plug.

Match the Vibrator to the Zone

Alexandra Fine, the credentialed sexologist over at Dame Products, explains in great form how the vibrator mode is the most important part. Vibration speed is helpful for arousal, stimulation, and climax, but not all speeds do the same thing.

Instead, you need to start slow and low. Build up the vibration speed and pressure until you’ve reached a spot and pace that works best for you are your mood. Anything over this and you will feel that intensity get uncomfortable. The most important part is to have fun. Don’t think of the vibrator as a tool. It is a toy. Toys are made to have fun and experience significant pleasure. Spend time getting to know yourself, your toy, and all your sensual little bits.
