25+ Central London galleries to open late tonight ahead of Lockdown

A collective decision has been made among 25+ London galleries to open late tonight (Wed 4th Nov). This is a collaborative gallery effort, ahead of the UK lockdown, to give visitors a last chance to see some of the key shows in town before we are all in confinement again

“Tonight’s last-minute coming together is just the kind of collaboration that we galleries need in these times, and is so heartening. It is not our first time at the lockdown rodeo, and while we are all sad at Waddington Custot to be closing our doors again temporarily, we are planning full steam ahead in the digital sphere around our solo for Fabienne Verdier. But before then, for this ‘midissage’, we invite visitors to come to share a glass of champagne with us on Cork Street”

Waddington Custot Senior Director Roxana Afshar comments,

Galleries confirmed so far are below, all committing to a late opening at least until 8 pm tomorrow night (Wed 4th Nov).

“We are all gutted to be closing again, but plan to go out, temporarily, with a bang!”
