Charlotte Gibbs, Associate Specialist, Head of Online Sales, jointly said:

“Following on from the huge successes of our inaugural online auctions, HEATWAVE and 24-7, in London and Hong Kong this year, Phillips will offer a selection of compact toys by contemporary artist KAWS in a festive online-only sale. Realizing his playful graphic compositions in three dimensions, KAWS’ inventive figures draw upon nostalgic characters from popular cartoons and advertising, creating his own world of protagonists who appear throughout his body of work. With a forthcoming major survey of his practice at the Brooklyn Museum planned for 2021, KAWS’ distinct aesthetic is immediately recognizable. We are delighted to offer a varied array of KAWS collectables at accessible estimates under £10,000, in the run-up to the holiday season.”
