David Zwirner has announced its first gallery in Paris, opening October 16th, 2019. The gallery’s inaugural exhibition will present new and significant works by the American artist Raymond Pettibon.
As David Zwirner’s first outpost in continental Europe, the Paris gallery will be located at 108, rue Vieille du Temple, a space occupied first by the legendary French gallerist Yvon Lambert and, more recently, by VNH Gallery. The gallery, located within Le Marais around the corner from Musée Picasso, is a ground-floor space that occupies 8,600 square feet with large skylit, column-free spaces.
“In recent years, Paris has quickly become one of the most vibrant cities for the visual arts in Europe. It’s a city where history meets the present, and we are endlessly excited to be able to occupy one of the most beautiful and legendary gallery spaces in Le Marais.” —David Zwirner
