Art Car Boot Fair have ‘best year ever’


Nearly 4,000 people visited this years Art Car Boot Fair yesterday at The Workshop in Lambeth High Street. Each stall netted between £1000 – £50,000 making this the ‘best year ever’ according to participants.

Harland Miller who was selling post-card sized limited edition prints of ‘Hate’s Outta Date’ (2017) (for Art on a Postcard  who raise money for The Hepatitis C Trust) priced at £300 plus a chance to win the original of the work sold out in 5 minutes (40 from edition of 50 were sold at the fair with 10 having been available online prior). VACBF veteran Peter Blake’s edition of 200 sold out in an hour and after that was sold he made a further £700 for Graeae theatre (graeae.org), by asking people who requested his signature on things they brought with them (like Sgt. Pepper album covers) for a £20 donation.
