Tabish Khan brings you five art exhibitions in London that you should visit during the week. Each one comes with a concise review to help you decide whether it’s for you.
1. Made in China @ Dulwich Picture Gallery
A fantastic project by artists Doug Fishbone where an original masterpiece has been replaced with a Chinese replica, but can you spot it? This week is your last chance before the replica is revealed and hung side by side with the original.
2. Tim Etchells @ Vitrine
Fun and surreal written texts with a great does of dark humour plastered all over the walls. Another great show from a gallery that’s making a name for itself.
3. Falls the Shadow @ Eleven
A double act of abandonment from the excellent photographer Gina Soden, and painter Natasha Kissell.
4. João Penalva @ Simon Lee
Large scale photographs of London’s pavements make us inspect a part of daily life we often overlook, it’s more varied than you might think.
5. ART / Converters! @ Studio 1:1
Every piece of work is £200 – very affordable and each purchase helps support the space, a win win.
