FAD Magazine covers contemporary art – News, Exhibitions and Interviews reported on from London

Hey! Ever wondered what it would be like to own the junk of rich, famous, creative and successful, people?

Hey! Ever wondered what it would be like to own the junk of rich, famous, creative and successful, people? Well now you can thanks to Garage Magazine.

GM are auctioning off a whole bunch of stuff, belonging to thirteen eminent creatives, in aid of helping out CalArts and Garage Museum of Contemporary Art’s Education Centre.

13 generous creative types have rummaged through all the wonderful stuff in their wonderful lives to offer a selection of predominantly useless, undesirable stuff.

But it’s not all bad news. Among the useless tat there are also some really cool items, like an old Vespa donated by Barry McGee or Jeff Koons’ inflatable dolphin pool toy and even a nude of Joanna Lumley; but the highlight of the auction has to be the seriously wacko piece of art offered up, like a bizarre homemade Christmas present no one wants, by lovably enthusiastic, artistic dimwit James Franco (sigh) who’s confidence as an artist knows no bounds.

But honestly it is all for a good cause and there is some really cool stuff involved so well worth checking out the eBay page HERE.

Bidding closes on the 4th Feb and a lot of the items have already received pretty high bids so get in there quick to make sure you don’t miss out.
