The 7th issue of Garage Magazine features a Virtual Artwork from Jeff Koons . The work, “Lady Bug,” can only be seen on mobile devices, by way of the Garage Mag app. Viewers will be able to use the app and their devices to walk around the piece – virtually – and see it from all angles.
To get to the piece, a reader needs a physical copy of the magazine as well as the app, which includes a scanner and a table of contents that includes material that can only be seen in digital form, on the app itself. To unlock that content, you have to look for “G” symbols in the magazine, and use the app to scan the full page that includes the symbol, much as you would scan a QR code in an advertisement to reach a company’s website.
