Oscar Murillo is a painter, a sculptor and a video artist. His exhibitions are installations that show and stage his own practice. For his solo show at 40mcube, Oscar Murillo presents a new series of paintings, sculptures and videos and he has also organised a lottery where you can win an original artwork from him.
Oscar’s solo show at 40mcube follows on from his 2014 exhibition at David Zwirner gallery in New York and from his 2013 exhibition at the South London Gallery which also featured a lottery.
At 40mcube, he proposes a variant of this lottery. He adopts the cheap prevailing price of the Française des Jeux (the operator of France’s national lottery games), and gives the winner one of his works.
