“The Colorist” tells the story of New York-based artist Eva Deutsch Costabel, the student of Franz Kline and a Holocaust survivor. She has been creating work for over 60 years and has been recently archived by Columbia University.

The piece is a look at the emotions one artist experiences at the precise moment of creation. It also presents the transformative power of art as expression.
