Daniel Arsham time-disrupting trope continues at this year’s Design Miami. With another Jonah Bokaer collaboration and a film premiere scheduled, Design Miami/ 2013 will be an eventful week for New York-based Arsham. His performance with Bokaer – titled Occupant – follows on from the warm-up performance, or “study”, by Bokaer at Arsham’s solo Frieze exhibition #recollections. Typical of his work, Arsham’s film series “Future Relic” builds a narrative around his inanimate, fossilised creations. The first instalment ‘Future Relic 01’, is about a mobile phone and premieres this week at the design fair.
