“Inner Beauty” is a movie created with more than eight hundred Saul Zanolari’s original drawings.
Through the stop-motion technique is it possible to watch a real artwork in motion.
As usual the contents and the imagery are readable on many different levels: the surface is funny and ironic but something is deeper.
It’s a journey passing through make-up, movements, flesh deprivation, to be naked in front of ourselves, death, priorities, cultural influences, the way to relate with ourselves and the others. The feather is the fil rouge of the movie and metaphore of this multileveled artwork: delicate and sharp at the same time.
