In conjunction with the exhibition Gone with the Wind, Raven Row will host a performance by participating artist Max Eastley (b. 1944, UK).
Eastley’s use of self-sustaining machines and kinetic objects in the mid–1970s brought a new and influential engagement with environment, architecture, and chaos to free improvisation and live performance.
At Raven Row, Eastley will improvise a performance using an installation of instrument sculptures, introduced into the gallery specially for the event. He will also play his electro–acoustic monochord, conjuring detailed soundscapes with a single string.
This event is free and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The galleries will be open to visitors attending the event from 6pm. For more information please contact info@ravenrow.org.
