There will be a rare showcase of paintings by the famous American artist, Marsha Hammel at The Cadogan Hotel.
The display will cover various subjects and aspects of Marsha’s work such as:musicians, bands, dance, and a unique portrait of Oscar Wilde to commemorate his arrest in Room 118 of The Cadogan Hotel. For over 30 years Marsha Hammel has being creating modernist pieces mostly inspired by music and dance, with over 1,000 companies and individuals having collected her work.
Marsha Hammel is a frequent guest at The Cadogan Hotel and was thrilled to be given the opportunity to display her artwork within the hotel. Marsha will be present at the opening evening on 15 March 2011.
The Cadogan Hotel is quintessentially a British boutique hotel, located opposite the beautiful Cadogan Gardens. The art will be displayed in the stunning Drawing Room, Cadogan Bar, Langtry’s restaurant and the two banqueting suites of Salon Oscar and Salon Lillie.
Situated between Knightsbridge and Sloane Square, The Cadogan Hotel has an enviable address. On the doorstep of some of the world’s most famed fashion boutiques including Fendi, Gucci and Prada, The Cadogan is also a short walk from Harvey Nichols and Harrods.
In 2010, the Cadogan Hotel was named one of the ten best historic hotels in Europe and the United States by Trivago, for providing first class service and historical charm.
The exhibition will be co-ordinated with Artscape. Artscape is a solution provider for interior designer and Architects worldwide specialised in wall décor. Artscape is a division of Felix Rosenstiel’s, Fine Art Publishers, who was founded in London 130 years ago.
