Multiplied at Christies Review Keld Van Schreven through to Monday 18th October 2010

Highlights of Multiplied, a smaller version of Frieze’s Art Fair, include a chance to win a great John Baldessari print, Suzanne Maxhays dreamy post apocalyptic future landscapes, Marc Quinns flower prints, the handful of new pop print houses like Print Club, NoBrow and Concrete Hermit. Other great moments were Bruce McLeans colorful print series, established YBA galleries like White Cube, Riflemaker, Karsten Schubert and the classic galleries like Whitechapel and ICA all together. I met some lovely people, and saw the worst of the Art Dealer types at the same time. The crowd were Mixed Euro Brompton Road types, all Chanel handbags, strollers and Converse. I overheard obviously some super model type buying a Damien Hirst production line special for a few grand without understanding who he was.

The big news of this show was that it was in Christies, the old skool auction house, a brave decision that should be applauded. Multiplied is at Christie’s, Brompton Road, South Kensington, London
