Pick Me Up is the first contemporary graphic art fair in the UK.
Top art and design collectives, galleries and publishers under one roof. A selection of the most innovative and avant-garde graphic art and design galleries, collectives and publishers will present affordable work by the world’s most cutting-edge graphic designers and illustrators. Concrete Hermit, Evening Tweed, Le Gun, Landfill/Manymono, Nobrow, Nous Vous and Peepshow have been invited to Somerset House where they will create unique and creative exhibition spaces.
Art work by some of the best known names in the industry will be for sale as well as work by the most exciting emerging artists.With graphic prints, limited edition books, T-shirts, crockery and fanzines on sale, there will be something for everyone.
Conceived as a celebration of graphic art and design and taking place in The Embankment Galleries of Somerset House, Pick Me Up is designed by Michael Marriott and its graphic identity is by Anthony Burrill.
Unique programme of events and live performances The fair will be presented alongside a unique programme of events and live performances, including an open studio with the celebrated paper designer Rob Ryan who will be moving his paper cutting studio and printing presses from East London to Somerset House so visitors can follow the entire process of the creation of Rob Ryan’s prints.
Print Club London will run a screen-printing workshop with guest designers drawn from the great and the good of the graphic design world. Each day of the fair invited graphic designers including Jonathan
Barnbrook, Angus Hyland, Michael Johnson, Morag Myserscough and Scott King will be screen-printing one of their own designs live in the workshop. The limited edition prints will be available to buy, selling for £50 each.

There will also be a programme of film screenings curated by It’s Nice That.Pick Me Up will also present a talks and family programme which will include discussions, lectures and workshops.
Print Club London will run T-shirt printing workshops, while Anorak Magazine will run a magazine-making workshop for families. On the final weekend Publish and Be Damned will bring their annual independent publishing fair to Pick Me Up with a selection of the best international magazines and fanzines for sale.
Exhibition of work by up-and-coming graphic artists and illustrators
The fair will include a selling exhibition of work by over 20 up-and-coming international graphic designers and illustrators such as James Joyce, Hellovon and Mr Bingo, hand-picked by industry insiders. With artists coming from all over Europe, Japan and Argentina, the exhibition will give an extensive overview on recent developments in graphic art and illustration.
Somerset House has commissioned each artist to create a new print for the show. These exclusive works will be available for sale at the fair as well as on the Somerset House website.
