ARCANMELLOR is delighted to present Craig Little and Blake Whitehead’s first solo exhibition of 2010 in London, and one of their most ambitious to date, part commission part collaboration.

LITTLEWHITEHEAD suggests on their work a distinctive sense of humour, which is key to their collaboration’s success. Had their almost all-embracing reference foundations veiled events that cover their day-to-day observations, art history references, and movie like scenarios, the theatre of the absurd would then not be as effective as it becomes when experiencing their work… There is a macabre all too familiar, even personal ontological musing to it. Shifting the construction of narrative strands on towards the viewers so as to stimulate their memories over listening to un-rendered mind negotiations between reality and their personal history.

List of works include “Winners”, a set of nine life size defaced portrait photographs from the Magazine ‘Retail Weekly’s annual award winners. A Beretta handgun, “The Thing” a 200 year old coated Bible and at the centre of it all a mix media installation of a figurative sculpture of a child sitting in a Dinner Booth.

ARCANMELLOR is artists Tomas Poblete and Leo Bruno Todd whose collaboration began early in 2009 presenting through their shows a commitment to new art, from a less institutionalised end.
