New Venue to be creative in …

The Book Club is a new venue which has just opened in Shoreditch and can be best summised as a multi-faceted, eclectic, dynamic venue which blurs the boundary between social and work activity.

Artist Matthew Stone is curating a typically irreverent, challenging series of classes and workshops including ‘Death Drawing’ – hosted by artist Boo Saville – a darker take on traditional figure studies using taxidermy and expired matter as the subject, while composer Jordan Hunt will work with attendees to compose an individually composed piece of music.

By day, The Book Club offers a new space to bring together London’s dynamic creative communities for work and play, offering an option for the office-less and the mobile creative community who are prevalent in the area. Free wi-fi, private meeting spaces and screening facilities, alongside comfy seating, a great menu and newspapers, magazines and second hand books are available to all along with a menu of delicious comfort food which diners order and pay for by plate size.
