Get Involved Retrospective of Posters at Concrete Hermit Private View June 2nd

It’s a rare and joyous thing when a clubnight’s promotional material is worth celebrating, which is why Concrete Hermit is delighted to announce a retrospective show of posters created for London club, Get Involved.

The posters created during Get Involved’s three year tenure at central London venue The Social – reprinted as Giclée prints and exhibited together here for the first time – were created by some of the most in-demand illustrators and designers working today, including Build, Anthony Burrill, Jon Burgerman, Richard Hogg, Intercity, Jeremyville, James Joyce, Kate Moross, Peskimo, Ian Stevenson, Lucy Vigrass, Dave The Chimp and many more…

Some of the imagery created for Get Involved posters has subsequently appeared in various publications including The Pictoplasma Character Encyclopaedia (Pictoplasma, 2006), Pens Are My Friends (IdN, 2008) and Airside’s 2007 calendar. The maraca-wielding monster Peskimo conceived to appear on the Get Involved poster they designed in 2006, now exists as one of their BambooZoo series of collectible toys, created in collaboration with Kidrobot.

Concrete Hermit will be exhibiting reprints of each poster, created especially for the exhibition, and contributing artists James Joyce and design duo Crispin Finn will be offering signed and editioned Get Involved prints for sale exclusively through the gallery.
