Hear former pupils talk about their lives at the Foundling Hospital which closed after 200 years of caring for abandoned children in 1956. The Museum has recently started a two-year oral history project, with a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, to collect the stories and life experiences of the former pupils. This evening will look at the project as a case study in oral history examining the collection of such histories and how this collection can be used for a deeper understanding of the Foundling story. There will be an opportunity for audience members to participate in a question and answer session with the former pupils.
