The Wilson sisters’ multi-screen installations exploring architectures of power, such as the Stasi headquarters in Berlin (Stasi City, 1997) and the USAF base at Greenham Common (Gamma, 1999), often evoke comparison with the cinema of Stanley Kubrick. Their new investigation for the Gallery exchanges abandoned buildings for an abandoned project by Kubrick himself, Aryan Papers.
To explore their developing practice and its relationship to cinema, we welcome the artists into conversation with art historian and broadcaster Andrew Graham-Dixon.
